

Sydney is extremely fortunate to have so many women involved and committed to the ministry of the gospel. The team has (for convenience’s sake only) identified 5 broad groups of women as part of our mission equipping focus. These five groups will now come under the broad new heading: ‘The Women in Ministry Network’

Although some of these groups will already have support networks, meetings and conferences of their own, our aim is to draw all the five groups together each year at the special “Mission Training” events that the team will run each year. Together we will all make up the ‘Women in Ministry Network’.

Support Networks and Links to the Diocesan Women's Ministry Team.
In meeting our aim to ‘develop structures for support, encouragement and ongoing training for women in ministry’, the team will work with some of the existing structures which already do that well and also wants to create a new structure for the women who are in full time lay ministry.
In making sure that all women in ministry have contact with the Diocesan Women's Ministry Team we have allocated a ‘team link person(s)’ to the various women’s groups that meet together.
